My name is Yaakov Bar Am, and I’m proud to say I am a woodworker, a craftsman, an artisan, a blogger, and thankfully employed! I own Furniture by Yaakov and the Maryland Artisan Guild, LLC.
I make custom furniture, turned objects, teach woodworking to children, and still have all my fingers and no have pending lawsuits.
The purpose of this forum is two-fold; to document my work (and thus to entertain and educate the reader) and to promote the arts and craftsmen. Let’s make our voice be heard and bring back the handcrafted/homemade products back to the market place in full force.
